Hot coffee, delicious food and happy employees at Cabin Coffee in Albert Lea

by robinrussell52

One of my friends contacted me to see if I could meet her for coffee. Not wanting to turn down such an opportunity I suggested meeting at Cabin Coffee right here in Albert Lea. I had yet to visit the new restaurant in town and I wanted to give it a shot.

When I visit a business I am not only assessing their product or services. I am watching their employees interaction with the customers, but I am also watching their interaction with each other. In my opinion how employees treat each other speaks volumes for the leadership of the business. When I see employees joyfully laughing and positively sharing life stories with each other it, I see a manager or owner doing their job. This camaraderie not only influences and sets the tone for a great customer experience, it teaches important managing skills to their employees.

Businesses such as Cabin Coffee often have high schoolers or college students working for them. This job will often be their first job. It is my belief that these employers will create a negative or positive impact on the way these students will manage not only their business life, but trickle into their personal life as well. An employers job includes inspiring their staff to excellence and the excellence must first come from the owners and managers.

When I stepped into the store I was warmly welcomed, the cashier took the time to look me in the eyes, smile and help me make choices based on what I enjoy eating. The order was completed in a timely and efficient manner. The spaces were open and yet I felt like I could have an intimate conversation without the whole store needing to be a part of what was said.

I have had several friends visit with their kids and they all enjoyed it. The moms were able to slowly (slowly is not a word us moms are used to using) sip their coffee while their kids played.

Thank you Cabin Coffee for inspiring excellence in your staff, teaching them how to interact with each other and with your customers. This kind of atmosphere is taught, it does not just happen. Thank you for providing a fun place moms can come with their kids in the middle of the day and feel like an adult. You are a welcome addition to our community. I look forward to supporting and cheering on your business. To get to know this great business visit their website here, there Facebook page here or stop in and try it for yourself.
