Pine Ridge Siberian Tours!

by robinrussell52

A few days ago our family was able to experience Pine Ride Siberians. It is by far one of our favorite field trips to date. Cassandra’s passion for not only raising and training siberians, but also rescuing them was evident with each dog we met. Throughout our field trip we were able to catch her vision and be inspired by her passion to educate people on the amazing Siberian Husky pedigree.

Pine Ridge Siberians

Pine Ridge Huskies all began when Derek & Cassandra started their dream 4 years ago when they got they’re first Siberian Husky named Moto. Since then, they now have 6 Huskies. Moto, MJ, Meeka, Brutus, Demon, and Braaaaap, and Diesel our team leader are the dogs to look for at nearby activities.

Cassandra and Derek decided to pursue this great winter activity, because it is there passion. They also spend time teaching children and adults about Mushing, and the joy that comes with it. Our kids were able to have first hand experience mushing with what is called a kick sled. It was definitely the highlight of our trip!

Mushing gives you a reason to look forward to the winter months in Minnesota. On a cold winter day The Pine Ridge Siberian Husky team is outside, they do not feel the cold, only the true beauty of nature and the howls in the wind from the dogs anticipating the exhilaration of the run. They attend Mushing events, and want to teach groups of people the skills to be a Musher,in hopes you join them, on there journey!

Each and every dog is well cared for! Their coats are shiny, fluffy, and healthy. The dogs are well trained, not only to mush, but their social behavior around the kids was impressive. While excited to see us there was very little jumping up on the kids and the dogs were happy and content to run around with the kids and to lay down have a good belly scratch!

These dogs are amazing, the owners sweet  and kind, and we cannot wait to go back and spend more time with not only the dogs, but also Cassandra and her husband!

How fun!! My dad used to have a Husky and he was a great dog, so I’ve always had a soft spot for them!!

I was amazed at how sweet and gentle they are. I’m definitely a husky fan now!
