When the apostle Paul was imprisoned he was often found singing praises to God. Throughout the last few years of my life the Lord has continually brought this to my mind. When I have thoughts of what should I do, when joy seems to be lost and I don’t know what to do. I remember to worship.
Sometimes I have to work through anger and tears before I get to the worshipping part, but worshipping comes none the less. I loudly play songs that encourage me and remind me of who I belong to and how he loves me.
This mind set allows me to focus on walking on water, not on the waves crashing around me. It helps me to focus on the path and tasks that God has put before me. It helps me to filter out the voices of doubt that come crashing in my ears and penetrate my soul. Doubt that often times keeps me from fulfilling what God has planned for me.
It is harder when the world around you is shouting for you to do one thing and you know God is telling you to do another thing. I have been praying like crazy for the Lord to make it absolutely clear, to give us a neon sign we are where he wants us to be and doing what he wants us to do.
I do feel like we are at a pivotal point where we will begin to see a break through in our lives. I do know we are more moldable, open and willing to do whatever our heavenly father would have us to do. We are in a place of being completely and utterly open to wherever the father would take us. I have learned it is in these moments when God is able to do the most with us. When we are left without any ideas of our own, when we throw our hands up and say father, whatever your will is, we want that. It is in these moments God often does great and power things in our lives, because we do not get in his way with our “good ideas”. We are not able to get in his way of his power and might, because we are not in his way he is able to move mountains.
We are waiting and watching for the mountains to move. We are waiting and watching for his glory to show through what only he is able to do. He loves us, he is for us and is even now completing us and drawing us closer to himself.
Thank you for coming along on our journey. Thank you for praying for us and watching along with us as we wait expectingly for our next steps. He is faithful and we continue to trust him.
