What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend than starting it off by having a massage. It sounds like a win, win situation for me! Well, it should have sounded like a win, win to me, but I had never had a massage before. I have always wanted one, but I have been timid about having one done. I know it seems crazy, but it’s true. I wasn’t sure I would be comfortable and relaxed with someone massaging my body.
When Lindsay Kramer C.M.T at It’s Worth It Massage Studio contacted me about setting up an appointment for a massage, I decided to go for it. After all, I had decided I wasn’t going to be afraid to try new things and this was at the top of the list to try.
Before my appointment, she emailed me an appointment reminder, as well as a form to read and sign. The from was a formality letting me know of the possible risks and all of the safety information I should know ahead of time. I really appreciated being able to fill the form out online as it saved time on the day of my actual appointment.
One Saturday morning I drove up to Shoff’s Chiropractic office in downtown Albert Lea. Located on the corner of Broadway Ave and William Street. Lindsay has her studio located in one of their rooms. She greeted me with a warm, welcoming smile and I immediately felt at peace with her.
She walked me down to her studio and as I entered my mind literally relaxed. The soothing, warm colors of the studio, soothing music and protection of modesty put me at ease. She explained the massage she would do and explained everything in a way I knew exactly what to expect.
It was a massage from my head to literally my toes, I was tense in spots I didn’t even know was stressed. Between the music, oils, and conversation it was a wonderful morning.
When my appointment was done, she had water for me to drink and a chocolate to enjoy. Seriously the best way to end a massage session.
I really appreciated her explaining to me areas of my body that were stressed and ways she could massage them when I return for my next massage. You can be sure there WILL BE a next time!
I don’t know why I waited so long, but I’m thankful Lindsay was my first massage therapist. My body is relaxed, my brain is happy and I am more than ready for a great weekend with family and friends.
You can find more information either on Lindsay’s Facebook Page or her website. She is professional, knowledgeable and your body will thank you for contacting her.
