Shrimp Scampi V Recipe

by robinrussell52

Sarah suggested I post this recipe so she can find it easier than on face book. So here you go Mrs. Innis. Perhaps others will follow in suit.

Shrimp Scampi V
1 (8 oz.) pkg. angel hair pasta 1 C. white wine
1/2 C. butter 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
4 cloves minced garlic 3/4 C. grated parmesan cheese
1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Stir in pasta and return pot to boil. Cook until al dente. Drain well.
2. Melt butter in a lrg. saucepan over med. heat. Stir in garlic and shrimp. Cook, stirring constantly, for 3 to 5 mins.
3. Stir in wine and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook for 30 secs. while stirring constantly.
4. Mix shrimp w/drained pasta in a serving bowl. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Serve Immediately.

I didn’t have exactly everything it called for. I used thin pasta instead of angel hair, garlic pwd. instead of cloves, fresh cracked pepper in stead of ground, mozzeralla instead of parmesan cheese, and dried parsley instead of fresh. But that is the joy of cooking. Taking a recipe and then making it your own and making it how your family loves it best! I would bet chicken would work just as well in this recipe or perhaps using fish instead of shrimp. The skies the limit!

Happy Cooking!
