Powdered toothpaste? Is it weird or refreshing?

by robinrussell52

When I first heard of powdered toothpaste I have to be honest I wasn’t sure I would like it. I had tried other natural toothpastes, I had even tried making my own toothpaste. Some where ok and others were horrible. I was finally brave enough to get up the courage to try Daisy Blue Naturals toothpaste.

It wasn’t that I didn’t trust Daisy Blue, I have tried enough of their products to know my body responds well to them. It was more a mental shift than anything.

Mark tried the toothpaste the same day we received it. He hates minty toothpaste and he has always hated the texture of regular toothpaste. When he heard about powdered toothpaste he was excited to try it. As soon as he was done brushing he told me I needed to try it. The day came and I worked up the nerve to try it.

I wet my toothbrush

Sprinkled some of the powder on my toothbrush (which honestly only about a pea size amount)

Then began brushing my teeth

I was immediately impressed it did not feel gritty like sand, which is what I thought it would feel like. Rather it was smooth and didn’t cause my gums to sting as other toothpastes had. I was pleased to find my mouth did not fill up with lather and try to drip out of the corners of my mouth. It did create enough lather to allow the bits and pieces to easily be removed from my teeth.

A slight rinse of my toothbrush and another good, gentle scrubbing and my mouth felt amazing.

I was left with a sparkling, clean mouth all day long. It was even more amazing when later in the day my mouth still felt refreshingly clean, even after sever hours. Knowing what is in my toothpaste has become as important to us as knowing the food we are eating is as clean as possible. Allowing our bodies to find healing.
