From start to finish this bread smells amazing! It’s one of my go-to bread recipes because it only takes about twenty minutes of prep time and fifteen minutes to bake. It’s deliciousness and versatility make a recipe that I use often.

Recipe:
2 3/4 Cup all-purpose flour
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon white sugar or honey
1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon dried oregano
1 Teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 Teaspoon dried basil
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 Cup water

Topping:
2 Tablespoon Olive oil
1 Cup Mozzarella cheese

In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil, and black pepper. Mix in the olive oil and water.

When the dough has pulled together turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place on greased baking sheet and pat into a 1/2 inch rectangle. I have also made it as a round loaf in a pie pan or as a loaf in a regular loaf pan.

Brush top with olive oil, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm! Serves about 12.
