Mother’s Day gift ideas in Albert Lea

In our eleven years of marriage I have learned to not assume Mark will know what I want. Whether I need a break from dishes, kids or gifts for Christmas, my birthday or Mother’s Day. The times I have not communicated what I was expecting or wanting it usually ended in disappointment. I have learned to not take it personally. He has learned how to love me fabulously in other ways.

I began thinking about what I would love for Mother’s Day. This time of year I am thinking of my flower and veggie garden. I am thinking about camping, picnics and trips to the state park. Then there is perfect weather for horse back riding. Four kids later my fingers are not the same size they were when we got married. My rings need to be resized to fit perfectly.  There is always the manicure, pedicure or a combination and I am always up for a massage. I wanted to put together a list of awesome ways Albert Lea businesses is helping celebrate mothers.

Riding has always been restful and energizing to my soul. Nothing makes me happier than riding in nature. Can you believe I have only had one manicure in my whole life! However I have heard wonderful things about Allure and Expressions. Where do you go for your mani and pedis in town? Is there one I haven’t mentioned? I would love to add them.

Myre-Big Island State Park has gift certificates available for camping. You can purchase a state park sticker which would give a whole year of hiking, entrance to any state park in Minnesota.

For my garden I look to Hill’s Garden, Hill Top Green House or Plaza Landscaping and Garden center. They have skilled, knowledgeable staff to help you through blithe, fungus or any weird thing your plants might be going through. I know I can always pop in and get helpful solutions. They also guarantee their plants and have excellent customer service.

Season passes or individual tickets to a play, opera or other event happening at the Act on Broadway. Another fun idea is to simply give her money to spend at one of the Vendor Booths at the Wind Down Wednesday. A fun way to shop local this summer. The Farmer’s Market in Albert Lea has gift certificates. She could purchase veggies, crafts, flowers or many other items.
