What’s my kid doing? This is a question I hear from a lot of my family and friends. Honestly it’s one that Mark and I have been asking ourselves for the last nine years of our parenting adventure. This new Russell Adventure’s series is going to feature posts by yours truly, but I am also going to begin to bring in posts from my good friend Apryl Gordon (Apryl has a BA in elementary education and special education – with an emphasis in behavior disorders. She also has 20 years of successful experience working with people ages 5-100), my sister Emily (has her masters in primary and elementary education with years of teaching experience. She has been homeschooling for two years and brings in professional as well as a parent perspective), other professionals, and veteran homeschool moms!
We will tackle questions ranging from “my five year old won’t sit still to learn, is she on track”, “my seven year old isn’t reading, what’s going on”, to advice on how to thrive through the threenager stage (a three year old with a teenager attitude), to “how do I get my kids to help me clean”. If you don’t see the question answered that you are searching for please contact me and I will get your question out to the professionals and veterans in my life that can answer your questions.
Our first “What’s My Kid Doing” post is brought to us by Apryl Gordon! Thank you Apryl, for being willing to share your knowledge and wisdom with us!
“Education of our young children is a hot topic, and well, maybe it should be. Our children are our future, and we love the little buggers with all our hearts. So what is best? That is the million dollar question”. Learn more about Play, Unschooling, and Formal education here.
This is going to be a very cool series!
I’m excited to help bring parents answers to questions we as parents ask everyday. Every parent wants to know they are on the right track, get permission, and reassurance. Providing professionals and veteran parents as an outlet to get more tools for our parenting tool belts.
