*We were given a copy for King & Country’s feature film Priceless and their album Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong. This review is based on our family’s experience and is honest.
Mark and I recently watched for King & Country’s new movie Priceless. I was excited to watch it, but I was not prepared for the raw, ugly, icky feelings of the reality of human trafficking. There are times when a post becomes bigger than I intended it to become. Times when I think I know what the purpose of a post is and then I realize God has a much bigger message he wants to share. This is true with this giveaway as well.
When I began to approach the bands performing at KTIS’ Joyful Noise 2017 it was to help promote the event. It continues to be our family’s favorite event and we wanted to share the love. As I began to get to know the bands the purpose changed and it no longer became only about promoting. They have inspired us to pray specifically for the men, women and families who will fill those seats. The powerful message each band will share has become the focus of our prayers. We are praying the 18,000 people will have a chance to hear these messages individually and collectively.
The more we have gotten to know for King & Country the more I realized their music and their mission has nothing to do with them. It encompasses the same message Jesus spoke as he walked the earth thousands of years ago. A message of love, hope, forgiveness, joy and peace.
for King & Country has partnered with enditmovement.com to bring awareness to the world to end the stealing, torture and abuse of women, men and children all over the world. The End It Movement website says, “Slavery has many forms and names, but it’s still slavery. And it’s still wrong. Can you imagine being forced to work without pay, trapped, unable to walk away, subject to violence or the threat of violence, by another person as they control you? Own you? Isolated, yet hidden in plain sight. This is reality for those trapped in slavery today. Slavery is illegal in every single country in the world. Yet it still exists”.
What can you do to bring awareness to your community? I am excited to tell you my small rural town in Minnesota has taken human trafficking seriously. Our truck stops, trucking companies, school districts and community are equipped and trained to spot trafficking. Truck stops and trucking company employees have watched videos and placed stickers on the cabs of their driver’s trucks. Together as a community we are saying no more! Click here to get a glimpse of what we’re doing locally. To find out what you can do individually or as a community visit the End It Movement website and they will connect you to real resources you can use to bring awareness to your community and to the world!
