*We received products from Daisy Blue Naturals to help facilitate this review. It is honest and based on our transparent experience with each product.
We are fairly picky about the companies, services, products and experiences we will share on our blog. I firmly believe products need to be high quality, customer service top notch and something I would send my family and friends. In order to be frugal sometimes we need to spend more money in the short term to allow for the long term benefit. We have seen this over and over in the things we have purchased. The slogan, “you get what you pay for” rings true across the border and it doesn’t matter you are purchasing.
Simple, natural and as close to organic as possible has been important to me for a long time, but with Mark’s recent diagnosis of lymes disease it has become even more critical to me to change what we are using. We are working hard to eliminate as many histamines from his diet as possible. It makes sense to me to change out our shampoo, dish soap, deodorant and many of our skin care products as possible. The rule of thumb is if you wouldn’t eat it, don’t put it on your body. There are some essential oils and other products that are topical rather than digested because of their potency. However, we try to stick to the rule if you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your body.
I know the reality is whatever we put in our body soaks into our body. It then runs through our blood stream which travels through our whole body. If we are going to change what we are eating, then we must change what goes on our body at the same time.
God in his perfect timing allowed us to meet Jena Thomas, the founder and owner of Daisy Blue Naturals. It is not a coincidence to work with her company at such a time as this. We are excited to not only work with her on a social media level, but also on a product level.
It is amazing to have a chemist to body experience. When we have bought products at department stores we couldn’t pronounce any of the ingredients on the back of the bottle. If we had an issue with the product we could call customer service, but we are never sure if we are being told the truth (sadly it’s reality).
Working with Jena we know we are being told the truth, we have experienced the results and we love being able to talk to her directly. With Mark’s body doing wonky things like having a Herx reaction, it is handy to be able to email or call Jena and ask her how we can help him.
I not only love the company for it’s products, but it is also a consultant base business. I love knowing when we buy products we are making a difference in the life of a person. We are helping to pay for dance lessons, electric bills or a fun vacation for their family.
As of now we have tried two deodorants, Butter Body Cream, castor oil and we are excited to try Sleep Easy Pillow Mist and Vitamin E Lip Balm. We will have reviews coming out on the above products, so stay tune, but I can tell you we have LOVED every product so far.
Daisy Blue fits Russell’s Adventures core beliefs to work with quality, unique, great customer service, local, family owned and operated businesses. We are excited to bring you along on this new journey to experiencing a chemist to body experience.
Note: If you have health care concerns like we are facing and you are not sure if it is safe to use with your regiments of medicines, please contact your physician before using. We are not health care professionals, we are sharing what has worked for our family and our bodies. Because God has made all bodies with different generic makeup it is important for you to know what works with your body. If in doubt contact the company who makes the product or your doctor.
