My nephew, Owen, recently introduced me to Bubba at Bubba’s Bait Shop. I had heard about this shop and I even wanted to stop in, but it’s kinda off the beaten path and I just wasn’t sure. As I was talking with Owen one day his excitement over this Albert Lea local bait shop inspired me to head on over and check it out.
Where is the bait shop located?
Bubba’s Bait Shop is located on 1613 Stevens St in Albert Lea. He has lures of all kinds for purchase, along with fishing poles, live bait, and all of the jigs you can image.
Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.
One of the things I loved the most about the bait shop is Bubba’s willingness to share his wisdom. For example, did you know certain fish can only see certain colors? So, if you are after a certain species of fish, you need to use the correct color of bait.
The store is open seven days a week.

Yes! You can use cash or credit card to pay for your items. He can print you a receipt or email one to you.

We purchased Mission Bait, swivels (because our kids had snagged most of ours on trees), and a few jigs. Our first experience with this Albert Lea local business was excellent. In fact I would say it is the best first impression of a business I have ever had. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends.
