We were given a three-month subscription for Baketivity in exchange for our honest opinion about our experience. All thoughts and opinions are our own and 100% honest.
Embracing kitchen mess
One of my very favorite places to be is in the kitchen. One of the things I do not enjoy is messes in the kitchen with my kids. It always seems I’m short on time and I just want to be in and out of the kitchen as soon as possible. But, Timothy has been wanting to spend time with me and wants to learn more skills in the kitchen. Baketivity is the perfect solution, I didn’t realize how perfect of a solution it is.
Ingredients all ready to go
It is a monthly subscription that comes to our mailbox every month. It has all of the ingredients neatly packaged and for the most part, all that is required is scissors to open the packages. This month’s box was an earth compost cookie to celebrate earth day. Our family loves Jesus and I brought the creation story into this activity. It was the perfect time to talk about creation and the creative design God put into everything he made.
What you need
All that was needed from my kitchen was two bowls for mixing, a whisk, an egg, a round baking pan, the oven, and the microwave for melting the baking chips for the icing. All things we had on hand.
Mom and Timmy time
Timothy got to spend time with me in the kitchen, the kitchen mess was minimal, and he was able to work on some basic kitchen skills, and when we were finished we had a tasty treat.
