Albert Lea is an Artist Friendly Community

by robinrussell52

Albert Lea is a artist friendly community and has a rich art history. Act on Broadway has had plays, operas, orchestras and other wonderful performances. We have potter’s whose pieces are beautiful, original and unique. While others celebrate through croqueting, knitting, painting or other various ways to create.

Not only do the artist enjoy creating masterpieces, they love teaching others how to create masterpieces. I am excited to share the many creative outlets Albert Leans get to experience almost everyday.

Holly Karsjens has brought awesomeness in her brick and mortar building Meraki. She has truly brought a collaboration of artist’s talents together. Yoga, drawing cartoons, guitar lessons, piano lessons, dance lessons for young and old and so much more. There is so much going on at Meraki this summer. If you have yet to figure out what you want to try, check out her website, give her a call and get yo self signed up.

Meraki Studios Artist friendly community

Kelly Gau Studio is owned and operated by the lovely, blunt and one of a kind Kelly Gau. She has the ability to help those who walk in her studio to pull out the loveliness in themselves. She speaks God’s love and light into others. She has begun a journaling art session, a Creative Kids Club and tons of other stuff will be rockin at her studio.

Davinci Skillsaw is a new brick and mortar business in Albert Lea offering the opportunity to create one of a kind pieces from recycled barn wood. Shane can help you take your vision from start to finish to turn it into exactly what you had in mind. If you are not up to creating your own masterpiece you can check out his selection and purchase one to add to your art collection

Simply Charming Ceramics

Simply Charming Ceramics painting classes on canvas, painting your own table settings from plates and cups to bowls. Whatever level you are looking for they can accommodate you.

Steve Tubbs has been throwing beautiful pieces for years. Each piece is amazing and you can find out his masterpieces at his website here.

Last summer Dori Etheridge brought Albert Lea Rocks to town. Community members paint rocks, hide them and then post to the Facebook Page where the rock was found and a hint to where it has been hidden again.  Young and old are enjoying adding color all over town.

If you know of a local artist I have not mentioned, please let me know and I would be delighted to add them to the article.
