Acclaim Studio of Dance! Where Every Dancer is a Star!

Maddie has always loved dancing. When she turned three I looked for dance studios around Albert Lea, but at that time the only thing I could find was a mommy and me class. I had heard about Acclaim Studio of Dance in Austin, Minnesota from other moms, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to drive twenty minutes both ways every week. I wasn’t sure we would have the money to have her continue dancing, but each week God provided the money, each week we were able to go.

This last year marked Maddie’s fifth year and Naomi’s second year dancing at Acclaim Studio of Dance. Miss Bridget is the owner of this amazing studio where “Every Dancer is a Star”. She is truly an amazing instructor who cares not only about the dancers technique, but is even more passionate about the girls hearts. Mentoring them as a dance instructor as well as in their walk with Jesus Christ. She has a strong technical background in all dance forms. She teaches everything from Ballet, Lyrical, and Cecchetti to Musical Theater and Hip Hop. She has worked with the Moscow Ballet several years in a row as the local children’s dance coordinator for the Professional Ballet Company Production “The Great Russian Nutcracker”. She continues to learn from some of the best dancers and choreographers from around the United States.

Bridget’s commitment to excellence encourages her students to also strive for excellence not only in their dancing but in there everyday lives. Dance has been amazing for Maddie, she has developed a love for hip hop and musical theater, but still holds a special love for ballet. Ballet does something for Maddie’s brain I have not seen anything else do. The soothing music, the smooth movements do something amazing for calming Maddie’s mind and her heart. Dancing for Naomi has given her another creative outlet to allow her artistic abilities to develop. It has also been fantastic for helping to teach Naomi how to properly have foot position. Her feet naturally turn in and ballet has helped correct this. It’s amazing the over all benefits of dance in the girls lives!

Miss Bridget works hard to find music that is God honoring and inspiring for her young
dancers. She spends hours looking for beautiful, sparkling, elegant, and modest costumes for the recitals. The costumes are used for both winter and spring recitals. As a mom on a tight budget I truly appreciate her concern for keeping the price of costumes reasonable.

I have seen first hand the love these dancers have for Miss Bridget. I am certain that they come for the dancing and end up staying for the relationship with Bridget. She truly cares about each kid that walks through her studio doors.
